Ragdoll Football Anchor Badge Guide

Earn the Anchor badge by recording 10 tackles in one game with better pursuit angles, controlled contact, recovery and team-aware defense.

The official Anchor badge condition is: Record 10 tackles in a single game. You need the game to credit ten tackles within one match. Physics contact alone may not equal a recorded tackle, and Roblox’s public badge description does not define assisted credit, shared hits, invalid plays, or stat timing.

Put yourself near likely plays

Start from a position that can reach both a run lane and nearby receiver space. Chasing every avatar from far away creates fewer real tackle chances than reading where possession is likely to go.

Track the ball and maintain scoring-side leverage. If a teammate owns the direct path, cover the escape rather than colliding with the same body. Team shape can create a tackle opportunity without abandoning defense.

Against a pass, prepare to stop yards after the catch when an interception is unavailable. These controlled plays can contribute to Anchor while protecting the team.

Complete the tackle input

Use Left Click on PC, tap on mobile, or RT/R2 on console near the carrier. The inputs are official. The result uses live body hits, grabs, and drags, so approach angle and distance matter.

Move toward the runner’s future lane. Press near contact rather than from several steps away. Save PC X, mobile DIVE, or console X/Square for the final gap, because a missed dive removes you from the next part of the play.

After contact, recover and watch possession. Do not assume every ragdoll motion ended the play or generated your tackle credit.

Create repeatable volume

Anchor rewards ten recorded outcomes, so consistency matters more than one dramatic hit. Stay involved over the entire game, reset after every play, and adjust to the offense’s preferred carrier or receiver.

Do not abandon pass coverage simply to reach the ball carrier late. A conceded long score reduces future tackle opportunities and harms the team. Finish available plays rather than forcing contact where a teammate already has control.

If the offense changes style, change your approach. Short passes can create open-field tackles; runs demand lane containment; deep throws may require coverage first and contact second.

Understand stat uncertainty

The badge says “record” ten tackles. That wording makes the game’s credited stat decisive. A body collision, assist, or contact after the play may not count. The API does not explain whether two defenders can receive credit or how overtime is treated.

Use a live stat display if available. Do not claim success from a manual contact count alone. If the recorded total reaches ten and the badge is delayed, verify the match boundary and check your Roblox badge inventory later.

Avoid using fluctuating badge award rates as proof of difficulty. Player activity and game updates change those snapshots.

Balance pursuit with the second defender

When a teammate reaches the carrier first, approach the escape side instead of diving through the same contact. If the runner breaks free, you remain upright for the next tackle chance; if the first defender completes the play, the team still prevents extra yards. The public badge text does not promise shared or assisted credit, so never describe this positioning as a guaranteed second tackle.

The same discipline matters near a boundary or scoring area. Close the usable lane before pressing the tackle input. A desperate early dive can send your avatar past the runner and remove the last defender from the play. Controlled pursuit may produce fewer dramatic animations, but it creates more repeatable, creditable contact across a full match.

Reset immediately after the whistle or possession change. Ten tackles require continued involvement, and arguing with an uncredited collision only costs positioning on the next play.

Fix a stalled attempt

  • You rarely reach the carrier: improve starting position and future-lane pursuit.
  • Dives miss: stay upright until the final gap.
  • Contact does not count: only recorded tackles satisfy the condition; exact credit rules are unpublished.
  • Teammates reach every play first: protect a complementary lane instead of stacking behind them.
  • The match ends below ten: treat the next game as a new attempt and keep the useful defensive habits.
  • You concede passes while chasing hits: return to coverage leverage and tackle after the catch.

Practice plan

Play one defensive series without early dives and judge whether you remain in the play longer. On the next, focus on closing the runner’s escape lane. Record only tackles the game visibly credits.

Use Tackling for angle and timing, Defender for team responsibility, and Hat Trick when the offense creates more pass opportunities than tackle volume.

Official evidence: badge ID 353064521565402, awarding Universe 10766921988, condition checked in the Roblox Badges API on October 19, 2026. Assisted credit, shared tackles, match boundaries, and award timing need live confirmation.
